We bond hard tooth tissues to composite fillings by covering the surface of the etched tooth with a layer of MASTERBOND. Careful incorporation of the bonding system into the etch-prepared, micro-rough surface of the hard tissue ensures a permanent bond between the filling and the tooth, closing the marginal gap.
Polymerisation shrinkage of the composites used for the restoration is neutralised. The bonding forces between the composite material and the tooth, through the correctly placed MASTERBOND bonding system, are sufficient to maintain the bonding strength during exposure of the composite.
We prepare the surfaces before cementing the prosthetic work, ensuring maximum tightness and durability. After etching and drying, we wash the surface to be cemented with MASTERBOND, which guarantees optimal adhesion conditions for dual-curing cements.

What kind of binding system is this?
MASTERBOND is a single-bottle, V generation bonding system. It is a mixture of carefully selected resins with the addition of ethyl alcohol, catalysts, inhibitors, and a photoinitiating system.
Is an etchant needed before applying MASTERBOND?
Yes. After careful preparation of the cavity, the entire surface should be etched using an etchant. We recommend using DENTAL ETCHANT.
What composites can MASTERBOND be used with?
The MASTERBOND bonding system can be used with any composites.
