About the competition
The Competition for the Best Dental Student organised by Arkona is a unique event that aims to support the education and development of future dentists. As the only Polish manufacturer of dental products, starting from the academic year 2007/2008 Arkona every year – organises this prestigious competition, which not only promotes theoretical knowledge, but above all emphasises practical skills.
In the first stage of the competition, participants submit their work, which is analysed by the University Committee. The students’ task is to carry out an independent work in the field of dental prosthetics, using medical devices manufactured by Arkona. The work must be clinical in nature and participants work on a plaster model provided by the Organiser with the necessary materials.
The winners of the first stage move on to the second stage, which takes place at the university of the winner from the first round. In the final round, the Best Dental Student of the academic year is selected, which is the culmination of the entire edition of the competition.
The aim of the competition is to develop the scientific interests of dental students and to reward the best projects that use modern dental techniques.
The mission of the competition is to support students in the development of their passions and skills, and to prepare them to apply innovations in their daily work for the benefit of patients. The competition also provides an opportunity to meet peers and experts from all over Poland, allowing them to exchange experiences and make valuable contacts.
The competition will offer attractive prizes:
1st stage: PLN 1000 for the winner
Each winner of the first stage of the competition is qualified for the second stage and receives a cash prize of PLN 1000.
Stage II (final): PLN 10,000 for the winner
The winner of the second stage is at the same time the winner of the given edition of the competition and receives a cash prize of PLN 10,000.
Stage II (final): PLN 10,000 for the university
In addition, the winner of the second stage wins a voucher to the value of PLN 10,000 for his/her university, which the university can spend on products of its choice from the company ARKONA.
