Splinting requires the attachment of a dental fiber to the surface of the teeth, by preparing the surface with an etching, such as ETCHGEL and a bonding system, such as MASTERBOND
We model the splint proper with fibers: SHAPECHORDS, CHORDS or COMCORD.
We fill wide interdental spaces with NEXT composite for aesthetics that satisfy the patient, and we model the facing surfaces of the splinted teeth with a flow composite, such as FLOW-ART.
We give smoothness to the splint with GLAZE.
For the modelling of the cervical bridges, we use one of the fibres SHAPECHORDS, CHORDS or COMCORDS. To model the missing tooth, we use a composite with increased hardness, such as CREATE.
In order to obtain a natural colour of the tooth, we stain the cervical section with the COLOURANT.
The smoothness of the reconstruction is imparted with GLAZE.
Temporary splinting, prior to the placement of the temporary splint, requires easy removal of the fibre fixation on the tooth surface, by preparing the surface with an etching e.g. ETCHGEL without a bonding system.
An alternative to etching is to use a bonding system, e.g. MASTERBOND.
We then mark the surface with a contrasting FLOW-COLOR colour, for easy removal of the splint.
Any finish and smoothness is given with GLAZE or a flow composite, e.g. FLOW-ART.
Gingivitis or periodontitis, irrespective of the location, severity or course, require mechanical cleaning through rinsing with the specialised PERIO-FLUSH liquid.
